The Benefits
  • Tuition Assistance*: Attend an accredited university or college and you may be reimbursed up to $5,250 per year from Chipotle.
  • Family GED & ESL Education Assistance:Reimbursement for the cost of pre-designated English as a second language (ESL) and high school completion/general education (GED) prep courses and state testing for eligible family members.
  • Financial Support: Access to financial aid advisors who may help you qualify for federal financial aid.
  • More Benefits: Employees interested in attending an online college through a Guild university partner will also receive tuition discounts, college credits for your on-the-job training at Chipotle, a personal education coach and access to exclusive degrees in Business Management and Hospitality designed specifically around Chipotle employee’s schedules.

Who's Eligible?
  • Crew, Cashiers, Takeout Specialists and Trainers who have 120 days of continuous employment, in addition to all KM & SM employees from date of hire or promotion, are eligible for up to $5,250 in Chipotle Tuition Assistance annually.
  • You must work an average of 15 hours per week in the 120 days prior to your course end date to be eligible.
  • You must not have more than 14 days on a discretionary leave of absence during the 120 days prior to your course end date to be eligible for reimbursement for that course.
  • All employees, regardless of position or years of service, may be eligible for separate federal financial aid and Guild’s tuition discounts at all of Guild’s university partners.

Course Criteria
The following courses eligible for Tuition Assistance are courses completed at one of the following institutions accredited by the Department of Education or are job related courses taken independently, in accordance with the determination of the plan administrator.
  • Courses taken at a two- or four-year public or private college or university that is accredited by the Department of Education;
  • Courses taken at a business, technical or vocational school;
  • Courses taken at a graduate or post-graduate school that is accredited by the Department of Education;
  • Review courses, but not the exams, for CPA, GMAT, GRE, and LSAT;
  • Job related certifications;
  • High school completion/general education degree certificate courses;
  • English as a second language (ESL) classes.
Eligible employees are required to attend a financial advising session with a Guild Education advisor and complete a financial aid application. Employees are encouraged to contact Guild prior to enrolling in a course to confirm both course and reimbursement eligibility. Eligible Expenses
Eligible expenses include 100% of tuition, registration, and mandatory fees up to $5,250 per year. Chipotle will not reimburse you for the costs for books, laptops, course supplies and tablets. Reimbursement will be calculated according to the receipts accompanying the request submission. Eligible charges will be fully reviewed and are subject to final approval by Guild and Chipotle.

How to Obtain Reimbursement
Reimbursement for eligible costs can be obtained by submitting a Tuition Assistance request at guildeducation.com/chipotle. Your request for reimbursement, along with all accurate and complete documentation, must be received within 60 days of the course end date.
